EXTREME
MAKEOVER HOME EDITION - THE FARINA FAMILY
More
than
a week of shooting night and day, rain or shine - almost 4000
images - weeks of editing and processing. "I've put more
time and effort into this project than anything I've ever been
involved
in photographically,
but this has also been the most rewarding photography project
I've ever
worked on."
says
BC.
In
August of 2006, BC was invited by Todd Kerstiens, Head Contractor,
to be the project
photographer for an upcoming episode of ABC's Extreme Makeover
Home Edition. BC ended up spending the entire week on the project
– covering it from the volunteer's initial planning meeting through
completion.
BC
also covered the American Cancer Society five-day RELAY
FOR LIFE event, held 24 hours a day, in conjunction with the construction
project. Twenty five of BC's images were used to create the Relay
For
Life gallery for Shawna's office featured on the show. He also
created the
"Home Sweet Home" banner shown on the office wall and
a portrait of the Farina and the Kerstiens families which hangs
on a wall
adjacent to the kitchen. BC personally created the prints in
the Masterworks
Imaging department
of Picture
Perfect, Inc. The images were printed
with archival pigment inks on Hahnemuhle
fine art museum paper. Susan Baggett and staff member Mary Libbert
framed and completed the presentation. A special thanks also
goes to our good friend John Siebert for helping BC cover this
extraordinary event.
